Good news! The Chinese Agriculture, Society, and Environment (CASE) project has just been awarded a Global Intersections grant from the Center for Global Studies in conjunction with the Center for East Asian and Pacific Studies at the University of Illinois. This grant will fund our essential programming in spring 2018, and it will also function as seed funding while we look to expand in the future.
I am also pleased to welcome new project members Depeng Shan and Li Yan (see Members) at UIUC, as well as Spencer Stewart at the University of Chicago and Ruisheng Zhang at Purdue University, who will be contributing their efforts remotely and in person.
In the near future we will be announcing our workshop series and disseminating a call for papers in advance of our spring conference. Stay tuned!
